[Theme: Wootique] Increasing Number of “Recent Products” on home page?

I have been searching for hours but cannot find a way to show 36 products on my home page under “recent products”.

I was able to add a code snippet to functions.php to increase the number of products shown (everywhere but the home page) to 36. In Settings-Reading I changed the number of posts that are to be shown to 36. But somehow the main page only shows 12 ‘recent products’.

I know it can be modified because https://www.genigear.com/ uses the same theme and they have 24 recent products.

Any help appreciated, at a loss of what else to try or where to look.
