    Hi,

I have a heavily edited version of graphene located here: https://www.allgonepop.com

The guys who run the site want the theme to be changed to “Macgnificant”.

I bought this theme last night and tried to switch it across, but it wont change. I tried switching to other themes as well but it just wont change.

Any idea why? Any help appeciated.

  • As this is a commercial theme, we cannot really help. You need to seek support from the theme vendors.

    Thanks for reply.

Even if I try to switch to TwentyTen it wont work. Can you help me with that one?

It seems to be a general issue

    Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

Thanks for reply, sorry I normally just build static sites so WordPress is a system that confuses me at times.

I am not too sure what you mean.

    Just to clarify.

    1. downlaod the twenty eleven theme
    2. upload to themes folder.
    3. change name of which folder?

Do you have a wp-content/themes/twentyeleven folder? Have you modified the Twenty Eleven theme at all?

In my theme directory there is Graphene (which I am currently using), Magnificent and TwentyTen.

I havent modified TwentyTen at all, but graphene has been edited.

I cant get my current theme to change to either of them.

FTP into your site (or use whatever file management application your host provides) and change wp-content/themes/graphene to wp-content/themes/graphene-old.

    Ah that works! Excellent, thanks.

I will now have to be an uber fast code monkey to get everything coded to the new style when I switch.

    cheers!
