Theme with full post then switch to excerpts option

Three years ago, I paid for and uploaded the Thesis design, and was happy with it for awhile. But it is not mobile responsive and needs updating.

But to find a theme that replicates the look – with the first two posts full length and the rest in boxes with thumbnail pictures seems hard to find.

I have searched many themes and it is exhausting.

I considered paying $$ again for a theme but, to go through this again, I think I would rather not. It seemed the minute I got Thesis, they upgraded to the 2.1 and it was not the same as what I signed on to.

That being said, I guess the trend now is to just have lots of boxes but that is not what I am looking for. I want to have my first two posts full length and then short feature boxes.

I also like the idea of a Latest or Trending button at the top.
