• I am new to WP having previously built sites on Wix and StirSite. I am looking for a theme/template/builder that will allow me to build a site as easily. I have tried a dozen themes, a few plug-ins, and nothing lends the same intuitive building experience. I am only going to WP because of its integration with other applications I am now using. My site is not a blog (it seems that WP is very blog centric which is weird to me; that seems secondary to a site IMHO), so I want pages to be plentiful, and ‘blog’ able to be turned off. 2. Need a responsive theme because my clients will be using mobile devices 3. Visual simplicity. Visual clutter is becoming epidemic.

I want to be able to change fonts, colors, page templates, etc. easily. Add images and text with a drop down menu. Is there a third-party editor? Someone who has build an ‘easy editor’ on a WP platform? Thank you!

  • There are some themes that claim to be drag and drop. Pagelines and Divi are a couple.

WordPress started as a blogging platform, so it kind of makes sense that it is blog centric IMHO. To make your site go to a static page as the homepage, you can set that under Settings > Reading
