Theme upload failed. Missing style.css stylesheet.

  • I just joined WordPress yesterday. And after a long extensive search found a really neat Theme. The upload failed. I got this message:

    Installing Theme from uploaded file: themeforest-1817036-attracto-html-responsive-theme.zip
    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the theme…

    The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

    Theme install failed.

    Just a note: I am an old man from the typewriter generation. So if anyone can give advise (in plain simple language) how to fix this problem, or direct me to a tutorial/etc., on how to fix. I will be grateful. Thanks for taking the time. – Ahanu

    P.S. I didn’t include my site URL because It is not up and running yet.

    I suspect (but could be wrong) that the theme is either within another folder or another compressed file of the zip archive you have.

    You could uncompress the file and upload manually via FTP or your cPanel file manager (or similar if not using cPanel).

    Unfortunately we won’t be able to assist further here, you see that’s a premium theme and as such we can’t provide support from WP.org as per the forum rules:
