• Hi,

What’s the procedure for updating themes e.g. minor css issues etc.? Is it best to save up lots of minor updates and resubmit or resubmit every minor update?

And are there any issues users should be aware of in updating the theme, which will have a new version number and will therefore presumably be a ‘new’ theme?

    Thanks,

    Richard

On balance, I’d say “yes”. Unless you feel that a bug is seriously impacting the theme’s usefulness, it’s better bundle your minor updates together.

Not unless you’ve drastically changed something in the theme that you feel users should be aware of. Generally speaking, we try to encourage people not to edit themes directly on the forums but to use custom CSS plugins or child themes for their customisations. So the risk of wiping out a user’s custom edits is relatively low and, frankly, I’d argue, is beyond your remit. ??

    Thanks, Esmi.

So I just submit an update as if it’s a new theme?

No. Bundle your minor updates and update/re-submit the theme as necessary.
