Theme Updates

  • I have a question about Themes and updates.

    I have many themes which I purchased over the last few years, and I’d like to use them on clients websites. However I don’t have the budget to go and purchase them again, to get the updates.

    Is it absolutely vital to update themes, or can they be left at the older versions?

    You need to talk to the theme vendors about this. We have no info on what has been updated for commercial themes.

    This is generally a bad idea. Updates are often for security related issues and not updating to the latest releases could open your site up to being compromised.
