Theme Update Notification is Disabled

  • Earlier this year, I always received theme update notifications.
    Recently, I noticed that theme notification have ceased.
    In checking my theme, it shows an older version, but was never notified for an update.

    My theme is installed in WP-Content/themes and NOT in a subfolder.
    I disabled all plugins to no avail.

    Any suggestions?

    I have the same theme installed on other WP sites and update notifications work.

    Hi there!

    Is it just the one theme or is this for all themes that you are not getting a notification?

    Just one theme, I purposely installed older version themes from the repository and the notification works.
    Strange as it seems, this exact theme notifications work on two other hosts with no problem.
    Just doesn’t work on this particular hosting service.
    I just manually updated the theme via FTP for now.

    Solved.
    My server was updated from PHP 5.5 to 5.6 and theme update notifications are now displayed.
    I did nothing else.
