Theme update 1.5 breaks the site

  • Hello CatchTheme team,

    We are running the WEN Business 1.4.1 and attempted to update the theme to 1.5. Unfortunately, 1.5 does not work with either WordPress version (4.6.1 or 4.7).
    Here is the error message that we receive:

    Fatal error: Class ‘WP_Customize_Section’ not found in /………./wen-customizer/controls.php on line 120

    Please take a look and tell me how I can resolve this. I can send you the screenshot of the error message via email. Just tell me which email address I should send it to.

    As far as we have checked locally with the latest version of the theme and WordPress , it works fine.

    If your issue still exist please reinstall the theme .

    Even if this does not solve your issue please do post your site URL.

    Hi,

    I’m having the same problem. After updating to the new version of wordpress and the theme, my website crashed and was not working. After resetting my website’s theme to default and reactivating the wen business theme, my website crashed again. I love your theme and would like to continue using it for the future. Can you please look into this and possibly issue another update to fix this problem? Thanks!!

    After the update to Theme version 1.5.1 was applied, the problem is fixed. The website works as expected. Thank you for solving this issue.
