Hi Kevin, your advice is very good. And I love your theme, it works much better than some of the others, it looks nice and clean.
But I hope you can you help me:

-I want to make the title and header picture span the width of the page (wider than the main column)

-I want to make the search box wider as well and change the words in it. At the moment it says something like: “type what you wa…” and the rest doesn’t fit in.

-Also can I remove this writing under the comments box? (“You may use these HTML tags and attributes: <abbr title=””> <acronym title=””> <b>

nevermind, I’ve sorted the Category Archives text. All by myself!

I removed the HTML bit as well! I’m very proud of myself, now I just need to stretch the search box and change the writing and extend the width of the title/header. Thanks!

To change the words of the search box you have to edit searchform.php:
The file doesn’t contain much text. Simply search for “Type What You Want” and change it.

You want to widen the search box? Paste the following line into your Custom CSS box:
#searchform-footer input[type="text"] {width:240px;}

I’m not sure how big the title and header image should be, I just want it wider than the main column. I realise this is an issue because it is designed to fit in the column. If it is not possible to separate them, don’t worry. You’ve been a lot of help already!

For example you can use this piece of code in order to widen the header image (given that you use the standard layout [Layout 1]):

I have to ask you this because I can’t figure it out myself: why do you think when I open twentyxs Settings page it does not show anything? It did some time ago – I remember I wrote even some code there, but now this page is empty! Three pages – “Style settings”, “Additional” and “Reset All settings” are also not active and the only thing which is active is only “Save changes” button. Do you think it could be because I have installed some plugins? hmmm….
And there is also a problem that in a dropdown menu – 1/3 of the background is transparent and 2/3 is filled with color and the text is on these 2/3 which have a normal background so I would like to remove the transparent part of the dropdown menu but have not figured out how ?? yes, and a little bit wider dropdown menu area would be great!
