[Theme: Twenty Twelve] Secondary widget area

Hi everyone,

Using a Twenty Twelve child theme, is it possible to make a secondary widget area UNDER my blog post area?

Example

I want to install archive thumbnails in the widget area. Don’t want to use the footer as I’m saving that for credits, etc.

Been totally pulling my hair out over this all day. Would make my day if someone could point me in the right direction.
