    Hey folks,

Really like the slick new look but there is no option for single column layout, no link colour, no header image, no light/dark theme, not to mention that it would be nice to have an adjustable main column width.

I know you guys have worked hard but it’s a shame it didn’t retain the old features while refreshing the look and incorporating new features and best practices.

  • @tom Lynch, actually there is a header image. It’s just not turned on by default.

Well, one theme cannot please everyone. There are plenty of themes to choose from, and you can always keep TwentyEleven.

Thank goodness they didn’t add all that stuff in and new features on top. Great job!

Shame, really? Come on now, this is the future my friend, Theme is beyond great, super clean and amazingly easy to customize!

    Rock on WordPress Team!

    Thanks,

Totally agree with those saying that a simple theme is best – easy to customise, easy to read. If hadn’t recently adopted another theme (and invested some time in some customisations to that) I’d be starting work on Twenty Twelve this weekend. Great job guys.

Hey Tom, there is a single column layout with this theme — just don’t activate any widgets and Twenty Twelve goes to single column.

Twenty Twelve is not supposed to be an update to Twenty Eleven. It is a whole new theme so comparing them is not appropriate.

I, myself, think it’s awesome and will be using to base all of my child themes on from now on!

Pity no footer sidebars don’t you think?

I have to agree with Rachel, if you prefer TwentyEleven its still a perfectly good theme.
