[Theme: Twenty Fourteen with Child Theme] Modifications

There’s a couple of things I wish to change on the current Twenty Fourteen theme that I do not know how to. I did create a child theme to make sure these changes don’t affect the original theme as much as possible so here goes:

– I much prefer the current layout to switch, meaning the left sidebar to be on the right as well as the primary menu to be on the left.

– The button colors are currently green when hovered and selected, I would like to change that to a shade of blue

– Last but not least I wish to show excerpts or at least part of a post instead of the whole post with a continued reading button or something of the sort.

If anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated ??
