Love this new theme but struggling to customise my child theme without the pages and pages of help that are available for other themes.

I’m wanting to add a logo to the site title (above the words)… can get an image to appear behind the words using CSS, but not yet having luck to position the logo above the words. I don’t have to use CSS… just thought it would be easier for me (noob).

Also wanting to center the text in the footer. Any help would be appreciated. ??

  • Yes, it was my mistake, below, not behind. It works, but there is something strange. The few words called “slogan” in my WordPress (french version) are still below the logo ?

Not so bad… I need to think about my design. Thanks a lot Yaniv Friedensohn !

Do you mean this part “Quand je n’écris pas pour vous c’est pour moi et c’est ici que ?a se passe.”?

Yes. I can’t found the name of this feature in english. In the customization interface, there is a place for the site title and another one just below

It’s called the tag line (or description) ??

Unfortunately, my solution doesn’t support your request, but if I understand, you created a child theme, then you could just copy your header.php file to your child theme and modify it accordingly.

Okay, thank you for the answer. Yes, I’ve done a child theme and created several files to modify things (eg excerpt on category pages).
I’m not sure i’ll continue to look for a solution for this specific feature. I like the logo between the title and the tag line (thank you for the word !) And your solution is a very good one, it allows to manage small screens.

Next, my todo list is slighter !

    Great, I’m happy to help!
