[Theme: Twenty Eleven] Sidebar not appearing

the sidebar usually appears on the front page and the archives, when the theme option setting is for ‘content left’ or ‘content right’;

the sidebar does not appear (by design) in single posts, and in static pages, unless the page is using the ‘Sidebar Template’ template.

My front page was static and that was the problem. But can you tell me just how could I change page template to ‘Sidebar template’?

I have the side bar but the widgets downt show up in a brand new wpmu site set up.
All other pages\sites work with different themes but this one. https://pages.forhuntersbyhunters.com/
What in the heck could it be? HAH! Your help is appreciated.
I even downloaded the twenty- eleven plugin extension form WPMU Dev and it didnt add anything to the home page.

The plugin works for me as coding is not my thing.
