[Theme: Twenty Eleven] CSS3 animation for sub navigation

Hi,
I have been trying to use CSS3 webkit (ease-in) transition for the sub navigation. I would like it to transition in rather then just “popping” in as it does default but I cant manage to get this to work. Im using the twenty eleven theme with the latest WP version.
