Theme Support: twentyfourteen custom posts

Great Plug-in! Thanks for the hard work!

I’ve been going through the forums and your website for the past few days. I’m trying to figure out how to create a custom post template for my twentyfourteen child theme. Currently, a piece of the webpage is displayed on each post. It’s pure html. I even get advertisements and etc linked on the page.

1, I’d like to extract just the feed content, no actual html from the page.
2, I’d like to extract any feature pictures or videos from the feed.

I also notice that in some cases, certain special characters in the title of the post (i.e, ',",`) are replaces with their html value. I may have remedied this with the options, however, I am not exactly sure what I did to enable proper formatting of special characters.
