• I have installed WordPress SEO on my site but when I click on the Google + share button the title of the page shows twice on the preview panel link for Google. The title has also shown twice on the title of pages.

Is there any way to disable / remove code from the template that controls how page titles display so that I can let the SEO plugin control this?

Can you link us to this problem?

    https://www.nursingnurture.com/breastfeeding-info/breastfeeding-basics/

Go to this link and click to share it on Google +.

There the title appears as Preparing to NursePreparing to Nurse

If you’re familiar with WordPress SEO by Yoast (plugin) I have checked “Force Rewrite Titles” but there seems to be a conflict.

Google + may be taking the title of your website, “Preparing to Nurse”, and the title of your blog, “Preparing to Nurse”.

Try changing one or the other to see if this is causing the effect.

Good call…I changed the page title and that took care of the doubling problem but there is still the issue of the sloppy formatting.

I don’t know why Google + is doing this, but perhaps a solution would be to add a space on the end of your page title?
Or does WordPress delete additional spaces?

Good idea but WP deletes the extra spaces. Same results with the title. But when I uninstall the SEO plugin I do not have this problem with the titles. Appartently there is some conflict that causes this between the theme and SEO plugin.

If you cannot solve this SEO conflict, can you add HTML entities in-place of this white space?
The HTML entity for white space is  .

Anyone have any ideas about how to remove custom title functions from the theme so the WordPress SEO can control titles?
