Hi all. I have added a custom icon font to Salient. In the Visual Editor, if I type this into a “text block” section:
    <span class="my_custom_icon"></span>
I can see my icon image pop up in the Visual Editor. However, nothing shows up on the actual webpage when I preview it.

Similarly, if I add an “text with icon” section, I can see and select my custom icons from the Icon dropdown menu. But when I preview my page, again, nothing shows up where the icon should be.

I’d be more puzzled if nothing worked at all, but in this case I’m not sure what’s going on. Any pointers?

How are you loading the font?

I added the font files (.woff, .eof, etc) to the fonts folder, and copy-pasted custom_font.css into the main style.css file. I also altered a few other files where I saw fonts being referenced– found them using grep on “linecon”.

I opened up my files this morning and it works. Not sure what happened, but I guess the problem’s fixed.

Great to see it’s working but it is odd it took this long. Are you using a caching plugin by chance?

Not as far as I’m aware. Yeah I’m not sure why it would not work one day and then work the next without me having altered anything.

    Hi vshi2292,

I’m using the same theme, would you explain me how you achieve to integrate the font ?
    Thanks ??
