• We’re desperately trying to respond here [ redundant link removed ]but no messages are going through. After clicking on “Submit” it says “Missing or invalid form token. Do you have cookies enabled?”. Yes, we have cookies enabled.

Our response which we like the reviewer to see is the following:

“Hi, we’ve been trying to reach out to you, but all our replies are not getting through. We already responded to the above, informing you that it’s just a child theme (no affiliation). Could you please inform us why you didn’t approve it?”

We also tried to contact the reviewer [ deleted ] on his website [ also deleted, honestly do not repeat that again ] but no response.

How can we get it approved, and how can we make communication work with the reviewer or reviewing team?

Please check with the team on the theme review channel on slack. DO NOT CONTACT team members via their personal and/or business websites.

    Slack

This is a known issue (and if you had been in Slack, you’d have seen the answer many times).
Just go to the main Themes Trac page first (it sets the token) and then go to your ticket. The meta team knows about it but hasn’t fixed it yet.

@joyously Thanks Joy, that worked. A suggestion as long as it hasn’t been fixed (issue seems to have been open for a long time): can the error message be changed? Otherwise others will keep asking.

Perhaps they don’t know why it’s doing it, so they don’t know what message to change (that message may be valid for some cases).
But uploading a theme sends you an email with all sorts of links, including one to Slack (for questions) and the blog (for requirements updates).
Use these resources instead of the forums. These forums are for support of WordPress, not for process issues submitting a theme to the repository.

@swiftthemes I’ve moved this from Requests and Feedback to Everything else WordPress. I’m also closing this topic.

Please do not try to jump start any review of a theme. You can check with the #themesreview channel in Slack instead.

You can get a Slack account via these instructions.
