    that would require some heavy coding, generating buttons and writing custom CSS for each of your menu items.
    There’s no way to answer your question here in short.
    But you will have to dig into CSS and maybe Sprites (google).
    And maybe this will help you get started:

    Oh… I just saw that the plugin from the link above doesn’t exist any more.
    Found this instead:
    Images as Menu Items
    You might also think about improving the look of your Menu by just using some google fonts and playing with css.

    Just a quick example…
    with Google Font Carter One

    The good thing if you DON’T use images is, that it’s quick and easy to add another menu item. If you use Images you would have to
    1 – produce an image
    2 – change css
    everytime you add a page.
