Theme preventing 3.9.2 working

I appear to have a problem since upgrading WordPress to 3.9.2 with the Max Magazine theme. I cannot change pages from Published to Draft to allow editing offline and the Quickedit on the All Pages listing does not work.

When editing a page and hovering over “Status Published Edit” in the RH side menu the link appears at the bottom of the page as it should but does not work.

Following WP advice I deactivated all plugins the edit still did not work, so I installed theme Twenty Fourteen” again with no plugins the edit feature worked as it should as did the others.

I re-installed Max Magazine and tried the edit feature it did not work nor did anything else and there were still no plugins activated. So by elimination I believe that Max Magazine 1.0.4 is causing a conflict.

If I am correct this is a bad state of affairs as it means no pages can be edited offline, the only way I can think of doing it is to TRASH them and rebuild them in draft before publishing again, this causes a change to page URL and that has its own problems.

Can anyone please help I have a large website built on this theme which I am perfectly happy with if I can get it working again or is there something I am not doing which means the Theme is OK.
