• Hi

I am using the Duplicator plugin to backup my website and restoring it on another site. I checked that the Evolve theme options are being correctly written into the target database after the Duplicator install. However, as soon as I access the target website, the Evolve theme options in the database are overwritten and all the options from my original website are gone.

Can anyone know why the Evolve theme is not using the theme options directly inserted into the database? Or how to make the Evolve theme make use of the directly inserted theme options?

    Thank you.

    Thank you for responding.

The source url is https://tes.jmslombok.or.id. Using Duplicator, we are copying this site and installing it on https://latihan.jmslombok.or.id.

On the source site, we have set the following theme options:
    – social media link to facebook
    – setting the bootstrap slider to just one image
    – setting the front page content boxes
    – setting a custom footer
    – assigning a page for the contact form and setting the google map address

As you can see, all these settings are lost in the target site https://latihan.jmslombok.or.id as soon as it is accessed. As mentioned the evolve theme options record is changed as soon as the website is accessed.

Let me know if it would help to attach the evolve theme options record as set by the Duplicator plugin.

By the way, we are on evolve Version: 3.3.0, wordpress 4.2.4.
Should we upgrade to evolve 3.4.3

And Duplicator Version 0.5.28, the latest.

    Hi,

In the latest Evolve Theme version 3.4.3,
We changed our Theme Options to use Redux Framework plugin.
The Theme Options settings will be automatically converted to work with Redux Framework.

To export settings, go to WordPress admin -> Theme Options -> Import/Export follow the instructions to export the Theme Options settings. Then in your new site, you can import these settings.

This is the only correct way of exporting and importing Theme Option settings.

We have never worked with the plugin that you mentioned.

    Thanks!

Thanks Denzel. Besides upgrading to Evolve Theme version 3.4.3, do we also need to install the Redux Framework plugin?

    Hi,

Yes, there will be an admin notice to guide you to install the redux framework plugin, you need to activate the plugin after installation.

    Thanks!

    Thanks, that works.

By the way, what tool are you using to deploy staging websites to production? We are currently using Duplicator as a simple solution to copy and install whole wordpress websites, but it seems that it no longer works with copying the evolve theme settings.

Once again thanks for your help.
