I had a 3rd party develop a theme for my website and now I installed that theme on another website we are developing. Everything works perfect except that “theme options” under appearance does not show up.

I checked the options.php file and searched for people with similar problems, but nothing I tried fixed it.

WordPress is installed in a mydomain.com/beta

    Any ideas?

Is the theme supposed to have theme options? Some themes do not include backend theme options.

Yes! Sorry. I should have included that. The theme DOES have options.

I remember reading in the codex a while back that using edit_themes instead of edit_theme_options would cause this behavior. Might be worth searching the codex. Sorry I can’t be of more help.

Thanks for the response. I will look into that. I know very little about php but I am learning. Would I look for that in the options.php file? Or am I confused?

The weird thing is that the other site that was using the theme initially works fine. Theme options show up and work. I haven’t changed the options.php file or the functions.php file (except for adding function for one more menu), but I have modified the pages, header, footer, and index files.

I didn’t notice if theme options were showing when I first installed the theme.
