theme option settings not loaded?

    i changed the styling theme options and saved it but reloading the site does not show my custom changes. i cleared the cache and tried again, but the custom styling won’t show.
    on the other hand, when i put my custom stylings into the style.css file of my theme and upload it, the site shows the changes.
    what is going wrong in the theme options?

  • Most likely you need to set chmod 777 on the dynamic.css file, via FTP, so that it is writable.

    i set chmod 777 as you adviced, but this did not solve the problem.

    Hm, 0777 should work and has worked for others. Are you sure you are doing it the right way?

    Is the “Dynamic CSS” field in Theme Options > Styling filled with code?

    By the way, I am rebuilding styling options completely as I know the whole dynamic.css system is currently unstable (blame OptionTree for that :p)

    no, 0777 does not do the trick. i checked it with a second ftp-client. “styling.css” is chmod 0777.
    and the dynamic css field is filled with code, yes.

    i guess i can help myself until you have rewritten the styling options with a child theme style.css with custom settings.

    nevertheless, if you have any more hints and advice for me, i’d appreciate that very much.

    If you download version 2.0.0 from here, the dynamic styling has been completely rebuilt. It should work for you, I hope.

    thank you, i installed the 2.0.0 version and it seems that the styling now does what it says in the styling options. since i’ve made many styling changes in the child theme’s css in the meantime, i will continue to work with that.
