Theme Not Supporting Woocommerce

    I hired a website company to build my site and they suggested woocommerce since I have products available for purchase.

    In the administrator area of WordPress this error message has been present from day one: “Your theme does not declare woocommerce support”

    I have brought this up with the developers many times and they told me it is not a issue. Is it a issue?

    Hey Jeff,

    What theme are you using?

    I’d be more than happy to take a look?

    Try adding: add_theme_support(‘woocommerce’); into your functions.php file.

    However, the theme may be completely incompatible and require modification to work. This may require hiring somebody to do so?

    Second solution: If the theme is not compatible, I can potentially advise an alternative similar theme that supports WooCommerce.

    More than likely you need to work with them again for Woocommerce compatibility, unless they used a free theme from www.remarpro.com.
