    Hi there

I am using the Adelle theme at https://www.mummywifeme.com

It is displaying fine on firefox and explorer, but I can’t get it to display properly on mobile. It will just show as text, but if I scroll down to the bottom and click on the ‘classic’ link, it will work fine.

I notice my mobile also diverts to this url mobile.mummywifeme.com/#2881.

I have deactivated all of my plugins and it still isn’t working.

I need any advice you can give as I really want to get started blogging.

    Many thanks
    Naisy

  • If it’s re-directing, then that’s not the theme. since all plugins are deactivated, I can only guess that this is some active feature in the hosting account. Can you make sure that any such hosting feature is disabled?

Okay, that’s good to know I’m not going crazy ?? Any suggestions on how I can stop it reverting to this subdomain?

When people come to my site I want it to appear properly and not just text.

I contacted my host Go Daddy today and they were unable to help me. Should I uninstall wordpress and reinstall and start again?

GoDaddy do have something in the hosting account that is supposed to handle mobile versions of sites called Instant Mobilizer. You need to make sure that this is turned off.

    Hi again

I’ve read the article thank you and tried to find the instant mobilizer to switch off and I can’t see anything anywhere I don’t seem to have a mobile site? Sorry. I am so confused.

I have emailed Go Daddy, but am open to any other suggestions from you.

    Thanks

    Hi there
Go Daddy said they can see I’m experiencing a problem with the mobile site but the problem is not at their end.
They said it is a browser related issue and how each reader browses and parses the script. They said it is not a server issue but a scripting issue and they don’t provide support on third party scripting issues.

Please help. I don’t know what to do now and just want to get my site working.

On my iPhone – the site showing up is this:

    mobile.mummywifeme.com

So something is doing that – it’s not WP.

Any suggestions on what to do from here?

Did you, by chance, sign up for a mobile site someplace else? If not, I think you have to ask GoDaddy again – did they actually look at your site? If they still say it’s not them, I’d find another host :/ .

    Loudly seconded.

No, I didn’t sign up anywhere else. I guess I will harass go daddy one last time. Thanks for your advice. I appreciate it. If anything else comes to mind please let me know.

Okay, I will consider that. Thank you to you all.

If you don’t get any joy at first, ask to put through to second line support. And, if necessary, point them to this topic.

I’ll also flag this topic up for attention of the GD support rep but s/he isn’t here that often, so don’t hold your breathe on that one.

    Hi guys

Just an update for you. I spoke to Go Daddy and they said the mobilizer was in fact turned on, so they’ve turned that off and it is working now.

I can’t express enough how grateful I am for your support.
Thanks again and have a great day!

Thank goodness for small favors, eh? Glad to hear it :)!
