Theme Modern Clix: IE8 vs Firefox

  • Hi guys,

    I’ve seen a compatibility issue when i was on a pc with IE8 yesterday. On the blog page, the title starts way too low. In Firefox this is not the issue and the page looks ok.
    At the moment i’m comparing the original theme files and the online versions but i was hoping some of you guys could see this in an instance so i thought i’d just throw this up here.
    One other thing is the contact page. Strangely enough, in IE8 the content of this page is completely gone and the sidebar has moved to where the footer should be. I’m thinking this has to do with some plugins but i’m not sure.
    If you guys could have a looke here.

    I’m also aware of the W3C validation errors. This is being sorted out at the moment. Oh yeah, please be a aware that i’m a no-coder.

  • Hi,

    A fix for the post dropping down on the page in IE6 is to make sure the images are all 422pixels wide (or smaller) and for IE7 change the <!–[if IE 6]> in header.php to the following: <!–[if lte IE 7]> this foces the site to use IE6 css file for IE browsers version 7 or lower. Not seen any issues with IE8!
