Theme malfunction?? All images gone!

Hi, I have NO IDEA what is going on with the site. All was hunky dory (actually really great – considering switching my main site to hestia too) but today, I check and all the images are no longer visible on any of the pages. I see the icons and fonts have retained their customized status. I check the site identity in the customizer and all is listed correctly, yet the png logo does not show, just the text name. Ditto on the big title, correct image is selected but only a gray filler shows on live site.

What could be the cause of this? Why would it change overnight?

All updates and plugins are current.
