theme looking like unsigned and boxes with opacity

I’m a webdesigner that mostly works in dreamweaver doing static websites and now I wanna learn to create a website with wordpress and there is one theme I like but I would like to know if there is any way to modify a theme so the boxes looks like this template and also if there is a way to do backround opacity on the textboxes.
