Theme issue. home page too much. need to summary and create excerpts.

  • my website is not complete, but im having issues with the home page.
    the featured post below the slide and gallery are way too long. they double the size of my page. i am wondering if there is a code, widget, or plugin that will summarize this so the only the thumbnail and a small excerptt for the post show up.

  • Use <?php the_excerpt;?> instead of <?php the _content;?> in your template pages.

    Not your header.php. Change <?php the_content;?> to <?php the _excerpt;?> in index.php, single.php, page.php, etc.
