AMP used to be really important but about a year and a half ago Google got rid of the AMP badges and Google stopped giving it preferential treatment for SERP. Then, with WP 5.8 and beyond, we have tools to make mobile just as fast as with AMP without some of the drawbacks. We’ve found this to be preferable, but we always appreciate the feedback.
