• I have moved a WP site from one server to another, and everything is working except for a Theme. I couldn’t delete it through the admin interface. so via SFTP, I manually deleted it fropm the directory on the webserver.

But I still have an error on my wp-admin/themes.php page that says the teheme is installed but incomplete. I have tried manually putting the complete theme folder into the /themes directory- no change. I have tried to reinstall the theme via the wp-admin/themes.php “instal” feature. No success.

How can I correct this issue?

    THX!

  • This might sound funny but did you actually activated another theme (via appearance – themes) ?
EDIT: i just re-read your question and realized that you’re talkin’ about activating a theme, not fixing the appearance in front-end.

THX. Yes, I deactivated the broken them, activated another them, amd then tried to delete the broken theme.

I also tried simply adding the stylesheet since that was the file it said was missing. I think I tried everything.

What I’m unclear about is how does the template.php page determine what templates to display there. Why does that page believe that a template is installed when I have removed the template’s folder completely from the /templates directory

    THX,
