• I truly would appreciate help!

My email service provider (Drip.co) has the option to have a one-click triggered popup box. (Meaning, you only see the optin box AFTER you click on a button.)

I am trying to do that with the big button on the home page of zerif lite, but the theme keeps changing the code I put in, making it not work.

What you do is copy-paste the code/link created by the email provider (into a link, or into a button). Once clicked, the optin box pops up. (This is called 2-step optin, on-click triggered, manually triggered optin, etc)

So I put that link url into the main button (on first page of zerif), but zerif is changing the code, making it not work.

Here is the popup “trigger” link:
    https://www.getdrip.com/forms/54059083/submissions/new” data-drip-show-form=”54059083″

This link SHOULD trigger the popup box. Instead, Zeriflite takes away the last part, and only triggers the first part of the link, so the button goes to an error page (instead of triggering popup box)

You can see here that it WORKS with a text link: https://poweryourpipeline.com/button-test/
(click on hyperlink text “adwords checklist”, and the box pops up)

But you can see that THE EXACT SAME CODE put in the “red button link” section of the theme customizer (for the big button on front), when you click that, it does NOT work. (click yellow button here for example: https://poweryourpipeline.com)

I contacted support at drip.co, the email provider, and they said the theme was changing the trigger link.

This was a long explanation, but basically 2-step optins are the only way to go. They have been proven to increase conversions. I want an optin box to pop up when the big home page button is clicked (seems logical, yes)? But the ONLY way I can do this is if I can get this code to work!

So…Does anybody have any clue how to make this work, and get zerif to keep the code as-is? Or some other solution?

    Thanks very much in advance!!

  • Hello, unfortunately this would require a level of custom coding beyond what we could provide for our free themes. If you would like custom coding done then we recommend hiring a freelancer or waiting until someone else might be able to help on this thread.
