Theme Install Failed

    I am using the latest versions of WordPress and all my plugins are updated too Last checked on February 3, 2013 at 3:34 pm.
    and getting this error message

    The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

    Theme install failed.

    although I checked and the file exists.

    Any reason that it would not find it?

    My mistake!

    I failed to notice that the plugin had to be manually installed.
    So I resolved the issue by following the installation instruction.

    Should not have to be manually installed. It a plugin and not a theme ??

    It worked only when I uploaded manually via ftp in the directory.
    I would prefer that it works automatically from within the CMS though, because I would have installed it in other websites. Do you know why it did not work automatically? Could it be something at my end?

    I had downloaded the .zip file on my desktop and then gone via the upload.

    Ok if you do that upload it under plugins not themes.
