[Theme: Imbalance] attachment.php styling. Where did I go wrong?

I’m having two possibly related issues on my attachment pages. We’d like to use them as a landing page of sorts, with more info about the photograph (copyright, artist, story, etc.).
I’ve been able to add the image description to the attachment page, and html renders just fine, but for some reason, the post-snippets plugin I’m using doesn’t work as it does on posts and pages. In the example below you can see [waynefooter] in the description under the image, which should render the snippet html (which I pasted in normally right below to make sure the html was working/styling) but it doesn’t. Is this a styling issue or a plugin issue?
Also in the footer, you can see all our follow icons in one long column, but on every other page on the site, they are in a 3X3 grid. Again, is this a styling issue?
These two possibly related things are driving me nuts, and I would greatly appreciate a second set of eyes. Here’s a sample page:
