Hi, I just recently successfully installed WP to my hosting.

After logging in for the first time as admin, I noticed the dashboard has images that look sort of distorted (mainly the WP logo and the heading where it has the word “Dashboard”).

Additionally, when I went to browse the themes I installed within the dashboard, the thumbnails are just blank white squares and when I view my site, no images for those themes are being displayed. The themes are installed in /wp-content/themes.

The image “https://shaunmilodesigns.com/wp-content/themes/tweetmeblue/images/bgr_board.png” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

This error comes up when I try to view your site. Did you upload your files in ASCII or Binary mode? If you use an FTP program like Filezilla it should be able to auto-detect the needed format, but otherwise your images should be uploaded in Binary format or they will appear quite messed up. You should probably do a whole new upload/install of WordPress.

I uploaded using FireFTP. I’ll try a fresh install though.

Doh! I definitely did not check the FireFTP options to see if files were being transferred as binary or ASCII. That definitely fixed it, thanks.

I’ve tried uploading pictures to the media gallery in a post and normally when it uploads completely, there’s a small thumbnail on the left side that shows the picture. Only today, I tried to upload a picture and it went through, but the thumbnail does not show up. I tried adding it to the post anyway and the picture size comes up, but no picture shows, all that shows up in the thumbnail and post is the size of the picture with a little note icon and a red X on it. I tried it on a seperate website because i thought it may be a server issue, but it worked fine on that website. Which tells me there’s a wordpress issue. I haven’t changed anything in my settings, I just woke up this morning and the pictures wouldn’t upload. I’ve read many forums about this issue and alot of them said that they’ve been getting this recently and it ended up being a wordpress issue with the path to the WordPress Image Uploader, is there anyway I can fix this?

    Thanks,

    MKRob
