• Hi there!

I have an Issue with this theme, since it keeps ignoring my ‘read more’-tags, in the way that of both existing posts only 56 words are shown on the homepage.

Since I have close-to-zero knowledge of html, I haven’t meddled with the html code, but only used the visual editor.

I have already stated the issue here, which led me to this place.

So, I love the appearance of the theme, and would be very glad for someone helping me with a way to fix this.

best regards and thanks in advance,
    Arved

  • Hi there,

You can do the following here :

    1. Create and install Boston child theme.

    2. Create new template-parts/ in child theme directory.

    3. Copy paste this file in there : https://snippi.com/s/a5ihhvt

That’s all. Let me know how it goes!

    Hi congthien,

I used this plugin to create a child theme. Then I used FileZilla to create a folder called /…/wordpress/wp-content/themes/boston-fixed/template-parts/

Inside that folder I created a file called content-posts.php, and into that file I copied your code.

Now I activated the child theme, refreshed the page, but all is as it was.
Did I do anything wrong or missed anything?

I installed the Theme update, but the problem did not change, so are there any other Ideas? It really would be great to be able to finally use this feature.
