[Theme: Hey Cookie] restrict post with permalinks to front page

  • Hi,

    I am a beginner in word press, so maybe an odd question: Is it possible to ‘disconnect’ the links from images in a post to the front page? I don’t want all the images of the posts to appear in the grid at the front page. I wish to have only the images of specific posts in the grid at the front page.

    Since I am dutch and not very familiar with jargon I can imagine me not being clear. Let me know and I’ll try again.

    It sounds like you want to restrict the front page to display only a single category (or maybe a handful of select categories) instead of all posts by default?

    This is possible, but requires modification of the loop in index.php. There are some good examples on that page of how this is done using query_posts.

    As always, I’d highly recommend making any changes in a child theme so they’ll be preserved across theme updates.
