• I bought a nice looking theme in the Warrior forum a couple of months ago “Kenya WP theme” by Josee Bedard and recently started trying to use it.
    After going through all the videos, I installed the theme and entered my settings:
    Long story short…. I set the sidebar to be on the right hand side, which it was, to start, but then it decided to spring to the left, but things that should be in the sidebar are appearing bottom right under the content on the page or post!
    After about 2 weeks and several support entries, she just kept saying she had fixed it and (excuse here) was the problem but when I check, it’s just the same, she even changed one of my pages round (making it look rediculous)blaming a subscription box!

    She is now telling me that it’s just my PC that is showing the page as I see it. (she also sent me a screenshot of my page with the sidebar on the right)
    Here’s her last reply:
    “I have sent pics to your email showing that the post you have are on the right had sidebar. I have not touched them from yesterday. They were like this, sometimes if the internet browser and cache have not been cleared, when you visit the same page for a second time, the browser speeds up display time by loading the page locally from cache instead of downloading everything again. This sometimes results in less than current versions of web pages being displayed.

    Please clear all your caches and internet browser before viewing your site. and also I have viewed your site in chrome.”

    I’m new to WordPress, and therefore don’t know if there is any truth in what she says…. I’ve tried all that she says but to no avail!
    I am using Firefox.

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Regards, Gary.

    All of the above is believable to me, Gary, but many factors can play into all of this. So, welcome to the world of theme development, multiple browsers and cache-clearings! If you might be willing to post a link to your site, various people here will have a look and let you know what they see might be going on.

    That’s the link to the main page but it’s the page “successful Email marketing” where the problem is!

    That is what I see on your “successful Email marketing” page in Firefox and IE8, the two browsers I use, so I would say there is still something wrong with that page. However, maybe you have a cache plugin installed and activated at your site? If so, that could be the problem. But even if you do have a cache plugin working, I believe you should see the latest version of the page while you are logged in (where I am not).

    Thanks for taking the time Lee!

    Thanks for your reply, and no offence intended but that page could just as well be in Chinese and I would have about the same understanding of it!

    Is that something that I should attempt to do myself?

    Can you paste the code from page.php into pastebin.com and post the link here?

    Hello Christian and sorry for the delay.
    Don’t know if it’s correct but here’s the link:
    https://pastebin.com/BrmqbeP8

    I’ve titled it “successful Email marketing”
    This is the code I pasted from WordPress…. I assume it’s correct:

    Kenya: page-blog.php (mobile/page-blog.php)
    Regards, Gary.

    I see your problem in FF22, and to me, it looks like a conflict with the float of the div #content and the breadcrumbs;

    try to add this to style.css:

    #content { clear: left; }

    Thanks alchymyth, but I haven’t got a clue what I’m doing in there!
    Where should I put that code?

    try to add it to the end of style.css of your theme;

    when you view your site, clear the browser cache to get to see the changes immediately.

    I already placed it in (mobile/page-blog.php)under style css before you answered and it worked!!!

    The problem is that, I think, that Josee or someone had or still is doing something in there, because all my plugins had been deactivated…. so I don’t know if what they did cured the problem or your advice!

    I have another site with the same theme and problem so I’ll try your advice in there and see what that brings. I’ll report back soon!

    Hello alchymyth, I pasted the code in my other website and it cured the problem there!
    I since received a support reply from Josee,she said that she’d set up a test page in my website and it worked OK, and that I must have copied and pasted my page (that was not showing correctly) from another website! (I built the page myself) she also said that my server is very slow today!

    As I was doing the alterations that you suggested I noticed that everything was going slowly! and when I finished putting the code in my other website I tried to view other pages on my sites but got the message “site is timing out” “taking too long to respond” so I checked my other sites and they get the same message.
    I then tried other websites (not mine) but they are all loading fine!
    So I tried to click on a link to the support ticket from Josee and none of her links are working!!! the message there is “server not found” normally I have no problem connecting to her support!

    I opened a ticket with Hostgator to ask if there was any reason for this but as yet have had no reply.

    Could it be possible that the problem comes from Josee’s end?
    This seems to be developing into a bit of a marathon! but thanks for your help and patience!

    Regards, Gary.

    Reply from Hostgator is that they are carrying out work that will affect me…. so that seems to be sorted.

    Once again, thanks to all who helped on this!

    Regards, Gary.
