    The theme is meant for quick start in blogging. You can customise lots of important stuff through admin options (with no need to use child themes) including what meta data to show, ALL the colours, logo/title text and fonts.

    You can create very very different looking website using this one theme.

    Still, if you need to use child themes, Simplified is very well suited for using it as a parent theme.
