• Kudos to the Ixion theme designers for creating a theme with the various features that fit my client’s project. I’m enjoying working with and learning about Ixion.

Given the Ixion theme was released in the past couple months, I was surprised to discover a:focus were styled with the outline: 0 in CSS. This is an old practice, often a carryover from using an old CSS reset setting.

Using outline:0on a:focus is a critical usability and accessibility issue which restricts keyboard users and people with low vision due to lack of visible focus.

Can someone pass this information on to the theme designers? Hopefully they will consider other alternatives for styling a:focus. One of the easiest options is to use outline: thin dotted There are plenty of other styling options; you want to do something to show focus.

    Hi Kathryn,

Thanks! It’s one of those areas that can be overlooked. Appreciate you passing it on to the developers.

Kathryn, is it something that can be sent to all the WordPress.com theme developers, not only Ixion theme developers?

Yes, we did meet at WCUS last winter. Waving to you remotely from southeast Michigan tonight! ??
