[Theme: Expound] Remove "By" on Pages

    On my homepage, every post has the word “by” before the preview text. It doesn’t pull the author or anything…just “by” and then the beginning of the story.

    I’d like to remove “by” on Pages, but not necessarily Posts (though, if a fix did remove the author all together, I don’t really care that much. I’m the only author.)

    I’ve tried scouring the forums and the Internet and just can’t find anything in the code that makes sense to remove.

    Still trying to figure this out – it’s driving me crazy! Tried searching for any instances of “by” or “author” in the php code and CSS and couldn’t find anything that would make a difference.

    Help?

    have you tried to deactivate all plugins to see if that removes the ‘by’?

    No I have not – so I should deactivate ALL of them at the same time and then check it out?

    If it’s gone, will reactivating them all bring it back?

    if it should be gone, re-activate one plugin at a time and check inbetween, to locate the plugin which might have caused the issue.

    YESSSSSSSSS turns out it was my Social Media Feather plugin – had to uncheck a “credit” box which displayed a little mini icon to the Social Media Feather facebook page (after the share icons on the post pages). for some reason that was putting the “by” on the homepage previews.

    Thanks! Will change to resolved.
