[Theme: Duena] Display Thumbnail in Front Page teaser – Please Help!

I’m using WP 3.8.1 and 2.0 of Duena. I want to have a thumbnail picture appear adjacent to the 55 word intro of each post that appears on my home page. I followed suggestions on multiple sites to no avail. I am editing a post and click ‘Set Featured Image’ and select either a thumbnail image or a full size image. Either way, I get a full size image on the top of my home page (which I don’t want), and a large size image above the post teaser (I want that, but in Thumbnail size).

I followed one suggestion and modified this line in my ‘functions.php’ file to add the ‘array(‘post’)’ section. This was supposed to remove it from the top of my home page, but that didn’t make any difference:

‘add_theme_support(‘post-thumbnails’,array(‘post’));’
