Theme Download Error

    Currently using Headway theme for the site https://www.BethTiger.com and it is the only theme installed. Just bought Avada 3.5.1 from ThemeForest.net and downloaded the zip file. When i try to upload the new theme, it gets to 1% and then and error screen saying the webpage is not available and to check my internet connection. Meanwhile, there is no issues with my other tabs or windows. I have even tried closing them all so that WordPress is the only tab running, with the same results. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my cable internet

    nevermind- redownloaded theme and worked

    Let me help you get it installed… okay?

    It sounds like your server has a file size limit on it. So when you upload this big file… the web server saids “no way – that’s too big”

    Even if the message saids something different.

    The solution is to manually upload the theme with an ftp client.

    Here’s a video that shows you how:

    1. Download filezilla and install

    2. Enter your ftp info like https://ftp.yoursite then your UN and PW

    3. Now go to wp-content/theme folder on your web server

    4. Un-zip your theme on your computer

    5. Slide the new theme project folder (From your computer to your web server… inside of filezilla)

    6. Then go back to your wp admin and look for the new theme icon and then click “Activate”
