• Hello,
The theme I’m using apparently puts the continue reading link on every post on the front page automatically. Even if there is no more content to view. I didn’t insert the more tag into every post so I’m not sure why the link still comes up?

  • Sorry to state the obvious but probably because that’s the way the theme developer coded it. Try looking for another theme.

Do you know how I could at least change the text?

You would need to start looking through the theme’s template files. I’d suggest starting with the index.php file first. I can’t really give you any clues, I’m afraid, as there’s no real way to know how the more link is being coded – other than it should include a reference to <?php the_permalink();?>.

I’m having trouble finding this, I’m new to this stuff. Could you be a little more specific on how to remove the text?
    Thanks

Drop a copy of the file into the WordPress pastebin and post the pastebin url here. Perhaps someone will be able to spot the problem and suggest a solution.

I found “continue reading” in here a few times. I have no idea what to take out though. Any help?
