You can hide the sidebar on any theme by creating a child theme. Just exclude the sidebar in your post.php & single.php (or whatever file your theme designates as a single page) files, and include it in the index.php file.

As a result you will not have the sidebar on your posts and pages. There are other files you’ll need to update if you want to remove the sidebar from your categories and tags pages.
