I just updated to latest version and at first could not change the red header color to any other color. Now it has changed to the green I want, HOWEVER, my real problem is I have lost the tabs at the top of the description piece of the culinary recipe section. The tabs for adding media, bulleting, numbering, spell check, etc. have disappeared. They appear at the very top of the post under title, but now I cannot add media, hyper-links, bullets, etc. to the body of the recipe directions section. Also, now the field in the “directions” section of Culinary Recipe of my already existing draft post are appearing in code/html, which I know very little about. I am just getting ready to publish my new blog, so cannot post a link for you to look at. But that would not help, because the problem is in my editing view. I wish I’d never updated to the new version. I loved the previous version of Delicacy and it is perfect for a food blog, or was. Now, I am lost. :\ Please help. Thank you.

Those are changes introduced in the new version. Although the HTML editor for directions might be added back to the theme.
You can of course download previous version here nad not upgrade in the future.

Thank you. As I mentioned that my technical skills are still evolving, when I saved this version it just goes onto my computer documents.
Are you able to tell me how to download it through my wordpress? I apologize and am embarassed if this is a silly question.

You will likely need to install the older version manually – see:

Thank you. Is there any down side to installing older version as far as support and usability in the future? Alex, it seems using the simple version for directions makes sense as most people do not know code. ?? I LOVE the simple recipe layout in delicacy, but the direction piece is going to be quite a challenge for me.

Yes, using an older version is not generally a good idea – it COULD have compatibility and/or security issues in the future.

The general idea was that you just input text as directions, not links, images, videos etc.
If you don’t like that, I’ve seen many people not using recipe editor at all, just inputing recipe instructions and directions as unordered lists in post editor. Another possibility is to use recipe plugin.
And as WPyougi said not upgrading has a down side – upgrades contain bug and security issue fixes so if you don’t update you’re missing out.

New issue with delicacy: I published my first recipe and before publishing, it looked great in preview. But upon publishing, the recipe section is not appearing on my blog. All that shows is anything I put in the top post editor.

Figured out that post title needs to be clicked for recipe to fully come into view on published page. There should be a ‘read more” option or something for readers to know to click this title.

No, that’s not how this works – see official demo. Can you provide a link to your website?

Ok, I think I know what you mean – if you choose to display full post, the recipe isn’t shown and I thought that you had problem in single post view. I’ll fix in the next update.
