i'm a beginner and need help

I’m trying to make a blog for my wife. I have therefore installed Customizr theme when I found easy to use (for someone like me, who turns over every 3 years). I think that it is great, as most things are easy to start – but there are some things that I can not find out. I have solved mostly by “surfing” and copy / paste some code in the “Custom CSS”.

1. I would like to make “navbar” (ie it with menu items) less (from left) – so that they remain on the right as it is today – so I can get more space for logo

2. I would also like to replace the images in the slider on “the featured page” – (home default)
