Theme Customizer/Preview stuck in login loop

  • I’m fairly new to WP so bare with me ?? I’ve seen this problem mentioned before, but no consistent fix.

    When opening the theme customizer/preview, I get stuck in a login/session expired loop. No problem logging in and changing anything, I just cannot see anything in the theme customizer/preview.

    I have tried clearing cache, no plugins, default theme, nothing seems to change it. Any ideas what to try next?
